Quarts In Gallon

You may have come across recipes that call for a certain number of quarts or gallons, but aren’t sure how many quarts are in a gallon, and vice versa. The good news is that this equation is easy to understand and calculate.

One gallon equals 4 quarts, so there are 4 liters in a gallon. This means that if you need one gallon of liquid, it will take four quarts of the same liquid to achieve the same measurement. And one quart is equal to a quarter (¼) of a gallon.
