Because each substance has a different density, there is a different conversion between volume in liters and weight in ounces. The following table shows conversions for common ingredients:
Although these conversions are provided for convenience, note that liters to ounces generally refer to fluid ounces by volume, not by weight.

Problems arise when you realize that ounces are measured by weight or fluid (fluid ounces). In the case of Cool Whip, ounces are measured by weight. However, liters are a fluid measurement, which makes converting Cool Whip measurements more difficult.
Eventually, I figured the best way to convert Cool Whip container sizes was by converting them to glasses!

But you can get confused when dealing with ounces, because there are several types of this unit. An ounce can be a unit of measurement for the weight of an object, it can also be used to measure the volume of a liquid. In this article, understand that we are going to focus on the ounce as a unit of measurement of the volume of a liquid, now I mean fluid ounces. Before we dive into the conversion, let’s understand what an ounce and a liter actually are.
The liter is a unit of volume accepted for use in the International System of Measurement, (SI unit). It is a metric unit of volume and is equal to 1 cubic decimeter, 1000 cubic centimeters, or 0.001 cubic meter. A cubic decimeter occupies a volume of 10 cm × 10 cm × 10 cm and is thus equal to one thousandth of a cubic meter.
Most countries around the world use the liter as a unit to measure volumes of liquids, as well as to label containers that contain those liquids. Its use can also be seen in the measurement of some non-liquid volumes for example, the size of a car boot, computer case, microwave oven, refrigerator and recycling bin, as well as for expressing volumes and prices of fuel.

An ounce with the symbol “OZ” is a non-metric unit of volume or mass that is used in different systems and has different meanings. There are two main types of fluid ounces; imperial ounce and US customary ounce. An imperial fluid ounce contains approximately 1/20 of an imperial pint, 1/160 of an imperial gallon, or 28.4 milliliters, while a US fluid ounce or standard American ounce is equal to 1/16 of an imperial fluid pint , 1/128 of a US gallon, which is about 29.6 milliliters.
The fluid ounce is commonly used as a unit of liquid measurement mainly in the US and UK.
