Dry measuring cups are designed to be adjusted with a butter knife. Liquid measuring cups have a small spout for pouring liquid, so you can’t overfill. You will find measurements on the side of the cup on the lines, measuring up to the top of the measuring cup.

It depends on how you measure based on the dry ingredients. Usually for things like brown sugar, they pack the sugar in a measuring cup. Regular sugar, rice, oats, pour it until your measuring cup is full or take it out of the container.

To get the flour, take a small spoon and scoop the flour into the appropriate measuring cup. Make sure you never pack it in a cup.
