Using a rice cooker is a great way to cook rice at home. It’s an easy (and consistent) way to get soft, sticky grains that finish every meal. Yes, you can cook on the stove—but why do you have to put in the extra work of watching it cook? You can set it and forget it. It is important to know that you can even use a rice cooker to make quinoa.
I use an inexpensive rice cooker that my mom gave me, but I use cheaper (~$15 range) and more expensive pots for family and friends’ homes. If you don’t want to buy a uni-tasker like rice cooker, microwave, It can be easily cooked on the stove. Jasmine rice, You can cook Instant Pot basmati rice or santo santo. Instant Pot lol.

First of all, you need to choose the type of rice you want to eat. There are many different types of rice, but there are three grain sizes, and the type you choose can greatly affect the ratio of water you need to use:

After washing gently and stirring, rinse the rice 1 to 2 times with cold water to remove any starch that has risen from the crushed grains or other ashes. You want to keep some of the starch, so it sticks a little and you can pick up the rice with your fingers.

A 1:1 ratio of rice to water can be followed for any grain size (short, medium or long). If you want to add rice, you can adjust from 2 cups of rice to 2 cups of water according to the recipe. This should yield a soft but slightly sticky grain when cooked, and our rice cooker works well for up to 3 cups.
This ratio gives me a full sweet rice every time. You may need to adjust it a bit to your taste and rice types, and maybe even your rice cooker (see the adjustment section below).
Note that these ratios are different than when cooking rice on the stove or when cooking white rice in the microwave. This recipe differs from cooking brown rice in the microwave and cooking brown rice.

You may need to adjust your amount depending on the type of rice you are using and how much you want to cook. Long grain rice usually needs more water, while short grain rice needs less.
After trying a new type of cooked rice at a ratio of 1:1, I like to adjust the water more or less depending on the results. When you are within ballpark range; Measure the water by ¼ cup. See how it changes your rice water.
If your rice is dry and a little dry, add some water and let the rice warm for 5 to 10 minutes.

If your rice is too soft, you will have to restart the water and reduce the amount of water, so it is washed.
