(A gallon is equal to 4 liters) How many cups are in a gallon? (There are 16 cups in a gallon) How many cups are in a pint? (There are 2 cups in a pint) How many cups are in a liter? (4)

When I teach food classes at a high school, these measurements always seem like a challenge! US The measurement system can be a bit confusing, but I have a fun and easy way to help teach these measurements.

So, I decided to make a visual for my son so he could better understand the idea. An easy way to do this is with Gallon Man. Seeing it this way helps kids (and adults who can’t remember) remember each other’s values.

Gallon is abbreviated as gal. Abbreviation for quart is qt. Pint is shortened to pt. C by shortening the cup. A teaspoon is a tablespoon, and a teaspoon is a teaspoon.
