Aroma Digital recommends using a rice to water ratio of 1:1.33, which means you need 1⅓ cup of water in the pot for every 1 cup of rice. Use 2 cups of rice and water up to the 2nd row in the pot to choose a stainless steel aroma. We measured it at about 16 ounces (or 480 ml or two traditional liquid measuring cups), which means it’s leaning more toward a 1:1 ratio. This last 1:1 ratio is similar to our national brand rice cooker.

When cooking in one of these rice cookers, it’s important to know the maximum amount of rice you can cook in each cooker. Aroma Digital can make two to eight cups of cooked rice per batch. Aroma Selection Stainless Steel can make two to six cups of cooked rice per batch. When we talk about bowls, we mean the rice measuring spoon that comes with every rice cooker, because it’s different from traditional measuring cups.
Yes, you must wash your rice. Washing rice helps remove excess dirt and debris left over from processing. You will also remove excess starch from the grain and prevent sweet rice. If you use brown rice, be aware that washing your rice may remove some of these nutrients.
