We start the activity by measuring how many spoons (16) are in the cup. This one is tricky because if the spoon isn’t full, the measurement won’t be correct.
After filling the cups, measure how many cups are in a pint (2). Use the funnel to pour the glass into the pint container.
When your pint is full, you will use the funnel to pour water into the room. You know you started with 2 cups in a pint container. How many pints does it take to fill a room? There are 2 pints and 4 mugs in a room.
Finally, pour the container of quarts into the gallon and measure how many quarts are in a gallon. We filled this in the sink.

Did you know there are two types of measuring cups? One for dry ingredients like sugar and flour, and one for liquid ingredients like oil, water, or milk.
Dry measuring cups should be leveled with a butter knife, etc. Whereas liquid measuring cups have a small spout for pouring liquids, so you can’t overfill them. You will find the measurement with a line on the side of the cup, not up to the top of the cup.
Depending on the dry ingredients will depend on how you measure it. Often with items like brown sugar, you will pack the sugar tightly into the measuring cup. Regular sugar, rice, oats, pour into measuring cup until full or scoop out of container.
How To Choose A Tsa Approved Quart Size Bag
For the flour, you will use a smaller spoon to scoop the flour into the correct measuring cup. Never put it right in the bowl.
If you do this, you will end up with too much flour, it will make your mixture too dry, and your recipe may not turn out well.
To measure liquid ingredients, place the measuring cup on a flat surface. Slowly pour off the liquid while squinting to see where the liquid is measured. Eye level is very important to ensure you are measuring at the correct level.

There are three types of travelers in the world: those who pack their toiletries in quarter-sized bags, those who carry them in sandwich bags, and those who compare the two to see which is better. If you are the third type, you are in the right place.
Let’s settle this long-running debate between clear quarter bags and sandwich bags once and for all. This guide will tell you if it’s easier to pack your personal care items or go through TSA. Read on for the verdict! Difference between quarter size bags and sandwich bags
The TSA requires passengers to pack all hand toiletries or liquids in a quart-sized bag when they fly. A quarter-sized bag measures approximately 7″ x 8″. The TSA prefers it to be made of clear plastic, like the Extra Small Cube, so items can be checked at a glance without opening the bag. See this article for more information on TSA’s liquid rules.
Sandwich bags are relatively smaller than quarter bags, at least in the US. More specifically, its dimensions are 6.5″ x 5.5″. The most popular brand that people use is Ziploc; a household name in most households. They are often used to hold snacks or small treats for children to bring to school. Until someone decides that it is also capable of storing liquids for travel.

✔️Quarter Bags: These bags are usually made of plastic or PVC. However, the best ones, like our extra tiny cubes, are made from a durable combination of Cordura and vinyl. This combination makes them less prone to wear and tear than other quarter-sized bags made from inferior materials.
✔️ Sandwich Bags: Most sandwich bags are made from the most commonly used plastic polyethylene. These thin and flimsy materials are only good for holding snacks and other lighter items. Plastic bags and seals may not last, especially with heavier items and repeated use.
✔️ QUART SIZE BAG: The quart size bag has a secure opening for easy access and keeps your essentials intact. Our TSA approved toiletry bag has the best kind: flip opening. This allows you to open and close the bag as easily as a clam. This is very useful, especially when
