Hanas Restaurant – Omakase is a fun meal of a special kind. Friends, good food, alcohol and the chef laughed together during the 3 hour lunch break (I don’t think it lasted that long 😄). Hana Hana Huahua Japanese Restaurant serves omakase lunch on Fridays and Saturdays from 1:30pm. I don’t think there’s a better way to have fun with your friends.
Pay $40++ or $60++, sit at the bar surrounding the small open kitchen and let the chef and his team take care of your lunch.

The interior was small, compact, and quite warm, lit in a garish orange that didn’t lend itself to a photo spotlight. The chair is full of 20 chairs. The restaurant seemed unpretentious and authentic. Inventory and supplies, cooking and laundry, with us you have everything in view. I love these raw, down-to-earth Macan restaurants.

The kitchen team is led by Chef Jimmy, who trained with Hana Hana’s Chef Teppei san for five years.
Omakase means “I leave it to you” in Japanese. One of the joys of omakase is the unspoken trust and expectations of the cook. Some of our friends have been regulars and loyal fans for over 5 years.
We drifted and let Chef Jimmy and his team spoil us.
Today’s salmon comes from Norway. As we eat, we can watch Chef Jimmy artfully slice it before our eyes. He made it look so easy. Its gleaming, evil-looking blade sliced through orange-pink flesh like pink butter.

This is my first time trying goose clams. Shellfish (no baby alligator feet 😂). The taste was slightly salty and the texture was slightly soft and crunchy.
Aaron was a smart guy. Ask not to drizzle the beef with this savory-sweet sauce. The full flavor of the beef is at its best when it tastes pure and no sauce is added.
Most of us ordered Wagyu fried rice for main course. We enjoyed several small bites while watching the dishes being prepared and smelling the caramelized sauce.
Finish the omakase with a plain ice cream. There were several flavors but I chose the traditional green tea.

👉I had a great time at Hana Hanahwahwa. I didn’t enjoy all of the dishes, but some of my favorite dishes tasted more than I could make up for. I love this colorful sashimi. The overall atmosphere in this small space was great. Good food, jokes, laughter, fights with chefs and friends. BYO spirits and wine. The prices of $40++ and $60++ were reasonable. By the end of the meal I was completely full. It’s a great way to spend 3 hours with friends 😄 Groups of 4 to 10 people can have the same fun at Hana Hana. Peanut The Robot Waitress Is On A Roll At Lynnwood’s Sushi Hana
When it comes to Hana’s restaurants, there aren’t many options. The Hana Ranch restaurant is located in the Mauca (mountain). Open daily from 5pm to 9pm. Serves American and Hawaiian fare with items like Cobb Salad, Kalibe Ribs and Fish Tacos. No small portion is perfect after a day of hiking and exploring.
Hana Ranch Restaurant is open daily at 6:30am. They serve breakfast items like local saimin and breakfast sandwiches.
Light breakfast and lunch are served in the restaurant on weekends from 9am to 1pm.
The Hana Hotel’s Preserve Kitchen & Bar features some of the finest dining in Hana. The beautiful alfresco restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Live music is also played at various times of the day. Relax in luxury.
Hana Japan Steak & Seafood
If Hana is the last place you would look for delicious Thai food, then you are wrong. Not technically a Hana Maui restaurant, Pranee’s Thai Food is more of a food truck. Plenty of seating and enough to fit in secluded Hana.
The food here is delicious and you can’t beat the price range. I eat here every time I come to Hana. Last time I ate here I had 5 entrees totaling $65. That’s a bargain, especially in Hawaii!

*Pro tip: never park under a mango tree. These cuties have a bad side and they can destroy your windshield. → Windshield replacement is not so cheap!
Sake No Hana Restaurant London Closed By Hakkasan Group
There are several food trucks across from the Hana Ranch restaurant at the bottom of the hill. Queue to buy grinds and find a picnic table to enjoy.
Ae’s Thai Kitchen has two trucks. Thered sells Thai food. White Food Truck offers fish sandwiches, burgers and other burger options, as well as delicious vegan options. Open daily from 10:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is one of the newest food truck options you can find in Hana.
Surfing burro is also a late dinner option in town. The opening times are daily from 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We offer a selection of burritos, quesadillas and tacos. It’s also a great place to grab a morning coffee and breakfast burrito if you’re already staying here.
We stopped here for coffee and breakfast burritos on our last morning in Hana. It was delicious and the food truck owner made it even more delicious. Professional, friendly, timely and delicious. What more do you want?!?!
Hana Maui Restaurants: Where To Eat
There is an Ethiopian food truck in the same area but it was also closed when I was there.
Before passing the gas station and encountering a line of food trucks, Hana opens a new restaurant called Tony’s Place that serves burgers and comfort food.
Another group of food trucks on the road to Hana can be found past the gas station on the right. You can’t miss a tea sign advertising coffee at 5:30am. Tita’s Café is a lovely place to have a coffee if you’ve stayed in Hana. They serve both filter coffee and fine coffee.
There are a few food trucks next to Tita’s. All have different opening times but close around the same time, namely at 4pm.
Hawaii’s Hana Ranch Restaurant Is A Hidden Culinary Gem
Open daily at 10 a.m., Da Fish Shack serves must-haves like fish and chips, tacos, and coconut shrimp.
Troy’s Plate Lunch is open on the weekends and serves every plate lunch you can imagine. It is usually served with chicken or pork with rice.
A little further down the road you will find Braddah Hutts BBQ Grill. If you’re looking for a typical Hawaiian plate for lunch, you’ll find it. Plan your meal in some folding chairs. The macaroni salad and of course the BBQ chicken are out of this world. Open from Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closed on weekends.
If you’ve been at Koki Beach Park all day, lunch at Huli Huli Chicken is a no-brainer. Typical Hawaiian comfort food. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sushi And A Singing Robot At New Lynnwood Restaurant
If you’re looking for something fresh, light and local, look no further than Hana Fresh. Located on the right side of the Hana Health parking lot entrance, just before entering Hana Town. Support the locals and enjoy a healthy lunch of smoothies and acai bowls. We are open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Hana gas station closes early at 6:00 p.m. and is open until 8:00 p.m. every day except Sunday. This is one of the few places in Hana where you can fill up. So plan accordingly.
If you forgot some supplies while camping or want to take a snack with you for a hike, you have several options. The Hasegawa General Store sells basic and consumable goods. Open daily from 7pm to 7pm.
