After a while, I decided to buy measuring cups and spoons. Measuring and cooking/baking was so easy with these recipes. It took me a while to figure out how to properly measure flour and what sugar (brown) packaging is, and to be honest, I still don’t measure butter with a cup and spoon because I don’t know how (well, there is. There is nothing wrong with melted butter, but cold, a whole different story ), so I use a cheat sheet for this 🙂 .
Grams 1/3 Cup
When cooking/baking and working I always use a kitchen scale to get the correct weight and then use cups and spoons to convert to volume. In my recipes, you will always find both measurements (grams / milliliters and cups / tablespoons). When using my recipes, especially for desserts, I recommend using a kitchen scale if you have one.
How To Measure Flour Properly (w/ Volume Conversions)
Liquid (water, milk, fat) – fill the glass with the appropriate line; Place the cup on a flat surface, then look at it at eye level as you pour the liquid.
Flour – Measuring flour correctly is one of the most common mistakes people make in cooking and baking. To measure flour accurately, pour the flour directly from the bowl or bag into the measuring cup – do not whisk. Continue pouring the batter into the bowl until it reaches well above the top of the measuring cup. Do not shake the cup or use the spoon to pour the powder into the bowl. After placing the dough in the measuring cup, use the back of a knife to smooth the top of the measuring cup.
Sugar – granulated or powdered sugar should be leveled in a spoon and dry measuring cup. Brown sugar, on the other hand, should be pressed firmly into the dry measure so it holds its shape when rolled.
Baking powder, baking soda and active dry yeast – Measure spoons, take a little from the bowl. Measure the knife.. How many grams to a cup? – one of the most frequently asked questions! So most of you use the metric system of measurement, not the imperial system of measurement like in the US. And unfortunately, all my recipes are written using cup measurements. But because I want to make sure everyone can make my recipes with ease, I created this easy reference chart for gram to cup conversions while cooking!

I tried to eliminate the most common cooking parameters used in the table. I’ve also included cups to ounces and grams to ounces because weighing is the most accurate way to measure ingredients. I admit, I’m lazy and don’t always weigh the ingredients, I should do better. Baking can be very precise and I want all of your cookies to be perfect!
