This is a recipe I’ve been making for a while but never wrote down. This is my go-to easy chicken recipe when I want a healthy dinner on the table.

A few weeks ago, when my dad joined us for dinner, I served this baked chicken breast. They liked it so much that they promised me that I would share the recipe here on the blog. So this recipe is for you dad. And for all my lovely people who want to learn how to make juicy chicken breast.

Knowing how long to bake your chicken breasts is one of the biggest tricks to making sure they’re nice and juicy. Since chicken breasts are lean meat, they can be boiled and dried.

Cooking chicken breasts over high heat for a short period of time will help keep them juicy and flavorful.

Oven Baked Chicken Breasts

We’re always afraid of undercooking chicken (with good reason) because we overcook it. I have tested the 18 minute 425 degree technique several times and it always cooks perfectly.

If you want more reassurance, the best thing to do is pick up an instant-read meat thermometer. I love it and use it all the time. When the center of a chicken breast reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit, it is safe to eat.

In addition to knowing how long to keep chicken breasts in the oven, I have a few other tricks to make sure they live up to their title of perfection.

To make this really quick and easy dinner recipe, you need a side that only takes a few minutes to cook once you put the chicken in the oven.

425°F is the ideal temperature for cooking boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The high heat cooks the chicken quickly and locks in the moisture, making it super juicy and not dry! Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after cooking and you will have perfect chicken every time!

Chicken Breast: This recipe is for boneless, skinless chicken breast. Try to use breasts of similar size for even cooking.

Seasoning: Above are my go-to seasoning blends (I’ve also included them on the recipe card below) but feel free to use whatever you like! I love this all-purpose seasoning like Montreal Chicken Seasoning or a nice, spicy Cajun blend!

Large Chicken Breasts (3/4 to 1 inch thick): Bake large chicken breasts at 425°F for 23-25 ​​minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

How Long To Bake Chicken Breast At 425 F

Medium chicken breasts (less than 3/4 of an inch thick): Bake medium chicken breasts for 15-20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.

Be sure to check the internal temperature of your chicken breast in the largest part of the breast for the most accurate reading.

Step 2: Rub each breast with spices/spices. I have given the chicken seasoning recipe on my recipe card, but feel free to use ready-made seasonings or your favorite spice combo.

425°F is the best temperature to bake your chicken breasts. This higher temperature cooks the chicken more quickly and gives it less chance to dry out. No one wants a dry chicken breast!!!

YES!!!! As mentioned above, a super-hot oven cooks chicken faster and keeps it juicy. IMPORTANT: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing! This will ensure extra juicy chicken!
