Or can’t remember the basic kitchen measurement conversions for the American system you learned in school? Yes, me too.

When it comes to cooking and baking, you’ll primarily work with US measurements and conversions to metric units of grams, kilograms, and liters.
Keep this chart handy to easily convert between teaspoons and tablespoons. This includes cooking, accurately dispensing medicine for children, etc. suitable for Especially teaspoon or tablespoon ML.
This is a handy resource to have on hand when doubling recipes or converting recipes from metric to US measurements.
You’ll often see a recipe call for a specific pot size. If you are using a US cookbook, these pan measurements will be in US sizes. For everything else, you need to familiarize yourself with the pan dimensions of the metric system. See below for inch to centimeter conversion for common pan sizes:

You can quickly convert fluid ounces to tablespoons by multiplying ounces by 2. To find teaspoons to ounces, multiply the number of ounces by 6. You can also check out our article on how many ounces are in a cup.
A digital kitchen scale equipped with both US and metric reading units will often save you time. If you have a kitchen scale, you won’t need to convert between USCS and metric.
For example, you have a great recipe for Nutella cookies, but all measurements are in metric.
Instead of converting each of these amounts to USCS, I can just pull out my kitchen scale. Thanks to my scale, I can measure all kinds of ingredients in grams and liters! How many cups in pints, etc. Although I don’t need it to understand, it is useful in many ways.

Is there a specific name for kitchen scales that measure grams and liters? When I was a kid in school, teachers didn’t even talk about American kitchen sizes. LOL, now you have an idea of my age! The US and two other countries are the only countries that use US measurements; in the world; all are in the metric system.

The Instant Pot IP-DUO80 is the big brother of my favorite pressure cooker, the IP-DUO60. The main difference between the two burners is the size – they are almost identical, but enlarged by 80. That’s a good thing – the 80’s have all my favorite extras from the 60’s, including the one-piece cap and silicone gasket grip and cap holder built into the grips. The only visible difference is the fancy red pressure valve marked with lines that make it easier to tell when the cooker is under pressure. (With the 60, I had to use it several times to find out if the pressure valve was up or down.)
(Width is from side handle to side handle. Height is from counter top to top of handle. Depth is from front of control panel to back of drain.)
How Many Quarts In A Gallon?
Why is the biggest one so important? The extra large pot makes using your favorite stove even easier. This extra width is already useful; I store used chicken carcasses in the freezer after removing all the meat; When I want to make chicken broth, I take the ziplock bag out of the freezer, open it, and throw the frozen bones into the oven. Hence the size – often the frozen bird is a little too long for my dish – chicken pygostyle 1 A fancy scientific name for a chicken’s butt. exceeds the maximum charge line. I have to disassemble the frozen carcass so that it sits. As a test, I took my bag of frozen carcasses out of the freezer and made broth. The bones fit well below the max fill line on the IP-80’s larger pot.
The other benefit, of course, is that I can fill the 8-quart oven with more stuff while I’m cooking. It really helps when I’m making a big batch of stock, but…most of my other recipes work well in the 6-quart, even for my family of five. If you already have a 6-quart oven and it works for you, don’t rush out and buy an 8-quart. If you’re considering a second pressure cooker for side dishes or considering your first pressure cooker (and cooking for larger groups), get an 8-quart. I have many stoves and within days the 8qt replaced my 6qt as my “to store under the kitchen island for easy access” burner. 2 Unlike my other ovens that are on a shelf in the basement.
Another difference I noticed: the IP-DUO80 remembers your last timer setting. For example, the first thing I did with the stove was to do a water test – 2 cups of water, Manual, 5 minutes on pressure. Everything was fine, so I took it apart, cleaned it, and put it in the tumble dryer to dry. The next day I wanted to make beef broth. When I hit the Manual button it was 5 minutes back – unlike the old DUO60 which always reset to 30 minutes as the start time. I think it will be a change for the better…but I’m not sure. This feature is fine if I’m cooking in the same general temperature range – but if I’m jumping, it won’t be as useful if I cook 4-minute macaroni and cheese one day and 75-minute beef broth the next. (Both options—remembering the last set time or the default 30 minutes—always work better for me than some other pressure cookers that start from scratch and make you count. I make a lot of 30-60 minute recipes, so starting from scratch means fewer button presses.)
I’ve been using the IP-DUO80 every day since it arrived. So far I have made beef broth, chicken broth, beef stew, and black beans. , and I like it. I will continue to use it and report back if anything changes, but my old DUO60 was very solid and I expect the same from this one. Highly, highly recommended.
Qt. Oil Dispenser With Lid And Cap
I was excited about this cooker when it first came out, but over time I went back to the 6-quart Instant Pot. Turns out I don’t need the extra space (in my everyday kitchen for my family of 5). The 8 quart now lives on my pressure cooker shelf in the basement. , if I need extra space, where will I look for it. If you regularly cook for larger crowds, I still recommend the 8 quart. Or if you want a second computer, it’s great to have the convenience of a larger size. (I use it mainly for this purpose – when I want to cook two things at once.) But for most people, the 6-liter IP-DUO60 is more suitable.

At the time, it was the only 8 Quart Instant Pot not on Prime Day special.
I was originally going to get the 6 quart Instant Pot, which made me wonder if the 8 quart Instant Pot would be too big.
