450km To Miles

450km To Miles – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has denied his country carried out an alleged drone attack on the Kremlin, which Russia claims was an attempt to assassinate President Vladimir Putin.

“We are not attacking Putin or Moscow. We are fighting on our territory. We are defending our villages and towns,” he said during a visit to Finland.

Unverified footage circulating online showed smoke billowing over the Kremlin – a large government complex in central Moscow – early Wednesday morning. Another video shows a small explosion atop the site’s Senate building, as two men are seen scaling the dome.

How Long Can The Regime Last?

The Russian president said Ukraine attempted to attack Mr Putin’s residence in the Kremlin, describing it as a “planned act of terrorism and an assassination attempt against the president”.

Officials said two drones targeting the compound were disabled using electronic radar, with President Putin not in the compound at the time of the alleged attack.

But Ukraine has said the Russian accusations are a pretext for large-scale attacks on its territory, and the United States has said it is treating Russian claims with extreme caution.

Mr Putin appears to be one of the world’s most watched leaders. During Putin’s events in Moscow, seen by journalists, extremely tight security was put in place, including long convoys of vehicles and traffic stops, along with a closed airspace.

However, if what the Kremlin is saying is true, it will raise questions about the president’s actual protection.

The effectiveness of Russian air defenses will also be scrutinized. In recent months, anti-aircraft systems have appeared on Moscow rooftops near major buildings.

They were kept there because the Kremlin fears that Ukraine or Ukrainian sympathizers may attempt to launch airstrikes against high-value targets.

The question now is how Russia will react to what happened on Wednesday morning. Some officials have already called for concrete action. Russian generals have repeatedly warned of a harsh response to any attack on Russian territory.

But it’s not clear whether Russia has the capability to launch meaningful retaliatory strikes or whether the incident will significantly escalate the battlefield in Ukraine.

An adviser to Ukraine’s president said the incident indicated Russia was preparing “large-scale terrorist provocations” in Ukraine.

Mykhailo Podolyak said attacking Moscow would make no sense for Ukraine but would help Russia justify its own attacks on civilian targets.

On Wednesday, 21 people were killed in a Russian attack in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine. Mr. Zelensky said the bombings were at “a train station and railroad crossing, a house, a hardware store, a grocery store and a gas station.” Among the victims were supermarket customers and employees of an energy company who were carrying out repairs, officials said.

Mr Podolyak added that all drones flying over locations in Russia were due to “guerrilla operations by local resistance forces”.

“Something is happening in the RF [Russian Federation], but certainly without Ukrainian drones over the Kremlin,” Mr Podoliak said.

He could not verify Russia’s accusation that Ukraine had tried to kill Mr Putin, but said the Russian president would take anything he said with a “very large grain of salt”.

Former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and CIA official Mick Mulroy said that if reports of the incident were accurate, the assassination attempt was ‘unlikely’ because Ukraine closely monitors President Putin’s movements and he was not in Moscow. At that time

“Perhaps it was to show the Russians that they can be hit anywhere and that the war he started in Ukraine could eventually come back to Russia, even in the capital,” he said.

Alternatively, if the reports are not accurate, “Russia could use that as an excuse to target President Zelensky — which they have tried to do in the past,” Mulroy said.

Russia also noted that the alleged drone incident occurred shortly before the May 9 Victory Day parade in Moscow, which was expected to be attended by foreign dignitaries.

Kissing bugs are blood-sucking insects found throughout the Western Hemisphere, including the United States, but also in the western Pacific, India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. In America, these insects are known to harbor a parasite called Trypanosoma cruzi, which is the causative agent of an infection in humans and other mammals known as Chagas disease. The infection can be spread through kissing bug feces after skin-to-skin contact or ingestion of contaminated food or drink. Kissing insects will invade human homes and bite residents and their pets. Kissing bug bites can also cause severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis. A life-threatening allergic reaction usually requires emergency medical attention. We describe a house invaded by kissing bugs in Northern California, where the residents developed severe allergic reactions to the bites. Kissing bugs were identified and blood tests revealed human blood as well as the presence of the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi. The resident underwent extensive testing for chronic Chagas disease due to repeated exposure to kissing bugs, but was found not to have the disease. Those living in areas where kissing bugs occur naturally should be aware that their bites can be highly allergenic.

Background: Triatoma protracta is a triatomine that occurs naturally in many parts of California and invades human settlements and bites residents. A man living in Mendocino County, California, said he developed an anaphylactic reaction after being bitten by an “unusual insect” he had found in his home for years. Methods: We conducted ecological, entomological, and clinical surveys to examine the risk of kissing beetle infestation, the presence of Trypanosoma cruzi, and Chagas disease concern with kissing bug infestation in this human population. Results: A home assessment revealed several risk factors for triatomine infestation, including pack rat infestations, wood planks without solid foundations, dogs living in the home, and non-use of residual pesticides. Triatomines are all known as Tritoma protracta. Molecular analysis of the midgut of collected triatomine bugs revealed that among the kissing bugs T. A distinct typing unit I of cruzi was observed. Blood meal PCR-based analysis revealed that these triatomine bugs had bitten humans, dogs, and an unknown snake species. patient
