Power comes from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 416 horsepower (310 kilowatts) and 369 pound-feet (500 newton meters) of torque. The non-S CLA still has a strong 382 hp. (285 kW) and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm). The sedan can accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.1 seconds, with a manufacturer-specified top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h) when equipped with the optional AMG Driver’s Package, which unlocks the car’s top speeds.
The video shows the CLA 45 S whizzing past slower-moving cars in the right lane, easily reaching three-digit speeds. However, when the car shifts into sixth gear, acceleration begins to slow as the driver downshifts before hitting the limiter. The CLA 45 S has an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
