While we have no way of confirming G-Powers’ claims, the hurricane is indeed a fearsome monster. The tuner added two superchargers to the M5’s 507-horsepower 5.0-liter V10 engine, bringing power to 730 horsepower at 7,500 to 8,200 rpm while maximum torque is 700 Nm at 7,200 rpm.
The result is a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) of 4.2 seconds, half a second faster than production competitors. The Hurricane broke the 300 km/h (187 mph) speed barrier in less than 29.5 seconds and continued to accelerate until it reached a top speed of 340 km/h (212 mph). The fastest in the world made by G-POWER. The G-POWER HURRICANE with a top speed of 340 km/h is based on the latest BMW M5. The heart of the high-performance sedan is a 5-liter V10 engine with a G-POWER EVO II supercharger system that produces 730 hp / 537.3 kW.

To achieve the desired power boost of 223 hp/164 kW to a fast-revving engine that normally produces 507 hp/373 kW, G-POWER in collaboration with ASA Automotive developed a high-tech turbocharger system. The system uses one ASA T1-12 belt driven compressor per cylinder bank. Unlike conventional mechanical chargers that waste most of the extra energy on self-propulsion, ASA compressors have an efficiency ratio of up to 80%. The ASA charger is also small, allowing G-POWER to fit two chargers in the tight space of the M5 engine compartment. With a maximum air flow of up to 1,200 kg per hour per row of cylinders, the compressor is designed for an even higher capacity. The boost pressure is limited to 0.5 bar.
The pre-compressed intake air is cooled in a highly efficient two-line water-air intake cooling system mounted above the engine. This measure optimizes energy efficiency and in combination with a larger water-cooled oil cooler with a pressure reservoir also ensures the thermal stability of the engine. Specially developed mappings for the engine electronics and SMG transmission control unit coordinate the perfect interaction of all new components.
The inner workings of the four-valve 10-cylinder engine are optimized for higher engine speeds thanks to precision-tuned lightweight forged pistons from technology partner MAHLE. The turbocharged V10 engine produces a maximum power of 730 hp / 537 kW between 7,500 and 8,200 rpm. The high performance speeds of both superchargers, each spinning up to 100,000 rpm and above, resulted in a torque graph that rose early and by 3,800 rpm it was over torque. The maximum torque of the production engine is 520 Nm, delivered at 6,000 rpm. The new peak of 700 Nm is achieved at 7,200 rpm.
Accelerated performance offers parallel benefits. With a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h of 4.2 seconds, the 2-ton sedan is half a second faster than its production rival. With about ten seconds to 200 km/h, the advantage increases to 5.0 seconds. The 300 km/h barrier is broken in less than 29.5 seconds. Unlike the production car, the G-POWER HURRICANE is not electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h. Driven by a specially cooled G-POWER limited slip differential, the engine propels the vehicle to a top speed of 340 km/h.

The G-POWER front apron, on request also made of ultra-light carbon fiber, replaces the entire production unit. Large air intakes provide optimal cooling for all radiators and front brakes. At the same time, the spoiler minimizes the lift on the front axle at high speeds.
The G-POWER side panels smooth the airflow between the wheel arches giving the M5 and its longer, lower and sleeker silhouette. Lift on the rear axle is reduced by a spoiler attached to the trunk lid and a carbon fiber rear diffuser for the G-POWER rear bumper.
A more dynamic ride and an even more unique look are the hallmarks of the 21-inch G-POWER Silverstone light alloy wheels that fill the space under the wheel arches perfectly. The center drop rim features glossy graphite coated centers while the outer rim wells and spokes are polished. They are fitted with size 9.5 J x 21 with 255/30 ZR 21 tires at the front and 10.5 J x 21 wheels with 295/25 ZR 21 tires on the rear axle. Large wheels give way to high-performance G-POWER brakes with 6-piston fixed calipers and 400 x 36mm brake discs on the front axle. G-POWER also offers an upgrade package to the standard M5 brake system that includes brake pads and high-performance brake fluid.
