200 Mph Kmh – The Tesla Model S Plaid has finally lived up to its original promise of reaching a top speed of 200 mph with new ceramic brakes.
When Tesla first unveiled the Model S Plaid, its new high-performance flagship electric vehicle, the automaker promised a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h). When it was first delivered last year, the vehicle had a top speed of “only” 262 km/h.

Last year, Tesla released a new “Track Mode” for the Model S Plaid, which reached a top speed of up to 282 km/h (175 mph).

The brakes seem to be the limiting factor. Tesla didn’t want to achieve a higher top speed without the electric supercar having bigger brakes to slow it down after reaching this new top speed.
Tesla began offering brake upgrades last year with a $20,000 carbon ceramic kit, but the automaker has yet to install new brakes on the Model S Plaid.
Last summer, we reported on a Tesla Model S Plaid that topped 200 mph for the first time after its owner hacked it to remove the Tesla’s speed limiter.
The car actually has a top speed of 216 mph (348 km/h) and feels like it could go faster, but they run out of tarmac and braking space – despite upgrading their brakes with third-party brakes.

Now Tesla is likely to install its own brake upgrade, as Sebastian Vittel, a frequent Tesla race car driver, has released a video in collaboration with Tesla Belgium in which he lends him a Model S Plaid with a ceramic brake upgrade for a test drive. laps at the Circuit de Bresse:
For those of us who have upgraded our brakes to something arguably better than Tesla’s CCB, I wish there was a way to unlock the car. What’s more, there was no need for brakes when some of us bought the car.
I definitely agree that this car is really good when you have decent brakes. We went a step further and added aero and suspension and it’s a really good car. I’d really like to see Tesla do an improved lap with the brakes (and it would be nice to see them do laps with the susp and aero updates too!)
He confirmed that his vehicle had no speed limits and that he repeatedly reached 350 km/h (217 mph), breaking his previous record.

The driver said he was able to break the lap record for a street car on the circuit with the upgraded Model S Plaid:
Second, I had the opportunity to drive the car for a full day at CIRCUIT de BRESSE in France for a real-world test. This is a small technical track usually great for small cars like Caterham, Ariel Atom or other Lotus cars and a REAL DREAM for heavy cars and their brakes!!! Well, after a few laps, I just set the road-legal record on non-semi-smooth tires. Original PS4S Michelin tires with original dimensions 265/35/21 front 295/30/21 rear and original TESLA WHEELS lap time (in this video): 1 minute 33.610 is absolutely crazy for a car of this size that is completely unsuited for this track! !

Can you believe the Lamborghini Aventador is now 10 years old? Launched in February 2011, this supercar was designed to replace the decade-old Murcielago as Lambo’s new flagship, and it does the job fantastically. After many upgrades and special models, it is still one of the fastest cars on the planet.
Land Speed Record
Not only that, but it’s also one of the few production cars still on the assembly line that has a supercharged V12 engine. And oh, what an engine—the 6.5-liter V12 produces 740 horsepower (544 kilowatts) and 509 pound-feet (690 Newton meters) of torque in the Aventador S. Wondering how fast this four-wheel-drive beast can go on the highway? Here’s a cool video showing the Aventador going over 200 miles per hour (3,211 kilometers per hour) on Europe’s fastest autobahn.
And we see the Aventador accelerate several times from different speeds, most likely warming up the engine and transmission. It was impressive to see the car accelerate to 130 km/h in second gear and then quickly accelerate to 200 km/h in fourth.
As you might expect, achieving these speeds was no problem at all for the Aventador S. Unfortunately, the highway was quite busy that day, but some sections of the left lane were empty and this is where the supercar from Sant’Agata Bolognese rolled. its full potential.
214 mph (345 km/h) – that’s the top speed we’ve seen in the video, and we have to admit that the Aventador S took it seriously. No jolts, no vibrations, no driver discomfort at almost three times the average European road speed. Very impressive! This content is imported from YouTube. Tesla Model S Plaid Delivers On Originally Promised 200 Mph Top Speed With New Brakes
From the factory, BMW electronically limits the top speed of its M3 sedan to 155 mph, or 180 mph if you opt for the M Driver Package. Sure, it could go faster, but how fast? No one has been able to give us an answer…until now.
YouTube channel AutoTopNL got their hands on a slightly modified six-speed M3 to see how fast it can go given the space. Aside from some wheels, a new exhaust, a different intake, and a setup to remove the limiter, there’s quite a bit of stock stuff that gives us a good idea of how a factory M3 would perform without the electronic restrictions. .
During a top speed test on an unrestricted German autobahn, AutoTopNL achieved a proven top speed of 297 mph. The line also uses its phone to display GPS tracking speed, showing a top speed of 313 km/h (194 mph). That’s some serious speed.
With a little more tweaking to get the extra power of the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six under the hood, we’re confident this car will be able to break the 200 mph speed limit. We suspect it’s only a matter of time before that happens.

Cars like the Porsche 911 GT3 and Turbo S Lightweight are very fast and powerful vehicles. But don’t overlook the basic 911. It can still hit nearly 200 mph if it has enough room.
The YouTube channel AutoTopNL took its time to prove the same with its entry-level 992 generation Carrera, which jumped onto the German autobahn with no limits to stretch the legs of the cars. Standard, the 911 Carrera gets 379 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
While that may not sound like much, the 911’s light weight and low drag mean it can do more with less effort. AutoTopNL was able to reach a set speed of 312 km/h (193.8 mph) on one stretch of open highway before having to reverse. If there was more space, we believe that the driver could increase the speed.
