170 Kmh To Mph – The Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR blasts down the Autobahn at 170 MPH.
The next-generation Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR has yet to debut, but the previous prototype still packs an impressive punch. In a new video on the AutoTopNL channel, the large SUV takes to an unrestricted section of the German Autobahn, where Land Rover tears down the famous road at triple-digit speeds.

The SVR packs the automaker’s supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine. It produces 575 horsepower (428 kW) and 516 pound-feet (700 Newton-meters) of torque, sending power to all four wheels through an eight-speed transmission.
A Model For Setting Credible Speed Limits In Urban Areas
The SUV tips the scales at 5,100 pounds (2,313 kg), but the Land Rover has no problem accelerating. It cruises quietly on the highway, and the speedometer climbs upward through several high-speed runs. It topped the 124-mph (200-kph) mark, but its top speed slowed to just over 155 mph (250 kph). The Range Rover Sport SVR has a powerful engine, but its hatchback isn’t designed for optimal speed.
However, the Land Rover reaches 170 mph (274 km/h) before slowing down. It’s quick, but not enough for the Land Rover’s top speed of 176-mph (283-kph).
Land Rover saw the next-generation Sport SVR previewed last year with the new Range Rover, and it will get new styling inside and out. The X5 M is rumored to get a new engine developed by BMW. The twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter engine is smaller than the current engine, but more powerful, producing around 600 horsepower (447 kW). It will be faster, It will sprint to 180 mph (290 kph) and 62 mph (100 kph) in 4.0 seconds, 0.5 faster than the current Sport SVR.
The Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR is so big and luxurious that it’s fast, but normal these days. The Sport SVR will compete against powerful rivals like the BMW X5 M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo. It will have its work cut out for the next-generation model.

View attachment 5054 Click to expand… I don’t have mine yet so can’t say for sure but I had a similar question on my previous Merc and the situation is you can change the head units but it always should. like the other. So you may have KPH but miles in the middle depending on where you live. I think it has something to do with the rule that the original unit must always be displayed. Hope that’s clear – but as I said, it’s not related to the Velar, but from what I’ve discussed with you before, it’s a similar situation.

I’m not saying there isn’t a way, but if there is, I haven’t seen it.

All the speed limits here are on KMH so I have to learn the formula to know if I am within the speed limit.
Sorry – I thought it was the same as the post above. You may have alternate units, but it should always show the original unit as well.

Select the vehicle and then select the unit. Scroll until you find Trip. Convert to kilometers. It works for me.
