When shopping for a gallon water bottle, consider the design. The design of a gallon water bottle is about more than just aesthetics and colors, it also affects ergonomics. A gallon-sized water bottle is quite difficult to carry, lift or pour, and you want a water bottle designed to be easy and convenient for your needs. Some bottles are designed with side handles, carry straps, swing top handles and textured grips to enhance the drinking experience.

Gallon water bottles are made from two main materials: plastic and stainless steel. The material also affects weight and insulation. Since carrying a gallon of water is already difficult, plastic gallon water bottles are great if you want a lighter option. But if you prefer your water to always be ice cold, consider an insulated stainless steel water bottle. Stainless steel is heavier than plastic, so if you prefer long-term cold water, you’ll be carrying a heavier load.

Similar to our experience testing water bottles, the fewer parts and the simpler the design, the easier it is to clean. Designs with built-in side handles are often the hardest to clean because there are few cleaning tools to reach all the corners, such as a long, thin, flexible brush. In contrast, water bottles with wider mouths and no handles are easier to clean. If you like to drink with a straw, you’ll also need a straw brush.

For example, some plastic water bottles have incentive stickers on the outside to encourage hydration every hour throughout the day. If you want a plastic water bottle but don’t like condensation or want to wear a band, you can also choose a water bottle with a neoprene sleeve. Finally, some water bottles also have a magnet to keep the screw caps from getting lost.

Some of these bottles also have sleeves with other features like carrying straps and pockets. There are different ways to drink from water bottles, such as taps or straws.

We cleaned every water container more than that. Since most of them are not dishwasher safe, we washed them by hand and noted the number of parts needed to wash, the difficulty of cleaning thoroughly, and the tools needed if we had to remove extra arms. clean The easier the glass was to clean, the higher the score out of 10.

We filled each bottle with red colored water and tightened the caps. We placed each water bottle on a counter lined with paper towels and timed how long the paper towels stayed dry. Most of these bottles remained fully sealed for 30 minutes, with the exception of the RTIC and Yeti bottles, which had to be tightened after the first five minutes.

We recorded the use of each water container for two months. Was the bottle easy to carry? Did muzzle width affect ease of reloading? How many handles did each bottle have? Did the design of these bottles help with the ergonomics of carrying and drinking from this bottle? Insulation, weight, infusers, etc. We have also mentioned additional features such as The lighter and more accessible the design of each bottle, the higher the score out of 10.
